Terms of Service

The Services are intended for users who are at least 13 years old. If you are under the legal age to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Services with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

By creating an account, you confirm that:

• You are at least 13 years old;
• You have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms;
• You will use the Services only for lawful purposes.

TribeX provides a sports matchmaking platform that allows users to:

• Create athlete profiles;
• Discover and connect with nearby athletes via an interactive map;
• Send and receive 1-on-1 play invitations;
• Communicate via real-time chat;
• Track competitive rankings through an Elo rating system;
• Access upcoming features including group games, coach booking, and community tribes.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice.

You agree not to:

• Use the Services for any unlawful purpose;
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users;
• Post false or misleading information;
• Impersonate any person or entity;
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Services;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services;
• Upload content containing viruses or malicious code;
• Use the Services to send unsolicited messages or spam.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

The Services include location-based features such as the sports map and nearby athlete discovery. By enabling location access, you consent to the collection and use of your location data as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for the safety risks associated with meeting other users in person. TribeX is not responsible for any harm arising from in-person interactions between users.

The Services and all content created by TribeX — including the TribeX name, logo, design, code, and features — are the exclusive property of TribeX and are protected by intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to access and use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the Services without our prior written consent.

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRIBEX DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE;
• ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF THE SERVICES;
• UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE ACCESS;
• THE SAFETY OF IN-PERSON INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER USERS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TRIBEX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL TRIBEX'S TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) €50 OR (B) THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO TRIBEX IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TribeX, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Services;
• Your User Content;
• Your violation of these Terms;
• Your violation of any rights of a third party.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Portugal.

If you reside in the European Union, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protection provisions in your country of residence.

For users in the United States, disputes not resolved informally may be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, on an individual (non-class) basis.
